Panel (France)

This is a Panel. It was produced by Ponson et Cie. It is dated 1850–1900 and we acquired it in 1945. Its medium is silk and its technique is jacquard woven; predominantly warp-face plain weave (blue) with discontinuous supplementary wefts (multicolor) variously bound on the front and free-floating on the back. It is a part of the Textiles department.

It is credited Gift of Mrs. Edward C. Moen.
