Patchwork Square

This is a Patchwork square. It was made by Cornelia Bersteen. It is dated 1849 and we acquired it in 1939. Its medium is cotton and its technique is pieced and sewn patchwork of plain and printed fabrics. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Gertrude Crownfield (American, 1867–1945). It is credited Gift of Gertrude Crownfield.
