Center Cloth (Italy)

This is a Center cloth. It was made by Arti Decorative Italiane. It is dated early 20th century and we acquired it in 1979. Its medium is linen and its technique is cutwork with needle-made fillings; deflected element work; withdrawn element work; satin, overcast and stem stitches on plain weave; foundation cut away at outer edges after buttonhole stitch outline completed. It is a part of the Textiles department.
