Man's Skirt (Indonesia), 1900–1969

This is a Man's skirt. It is dated 1900–1969 and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is cotton, metallic threads and its technique is wax resist dyeing (batik) on plain weave with continuous supplementary weft patterning; embroidered with couching stitches and appliqué. It is a part of the Textiles department.
