Perraje (shawl) (Guatemala)

This is a Perraje (shawl). It is dated 20th century and we acquired it in 1969. Its medium is cotton and its technique is warp resist dyed before weaving (jaspe); warp-faced plain weave; warp ends are knotted with ivory cotton short fringe attached. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Clara Waldeck. It is credited Gift of Clara Waldeck.
