Fragment, late 17th–early 18th century
This is a Fragment. It is dated late 17th–early 18th century and we acquired it in 1968. Its medium is silk, metallic thread (frisé and filé) and its technique is warp-face of an eight-harness satin patterned by warp-faced ribbed plain weave which is in turn patterned by one extra-weft and extra-weft brocading. It is a part of the Textiles department.
