The robed white figure of Pu T'ai Ho-Shang (Chinese god of contentment) with a bulging stomach is set upon an ornamental gilt bronze four legged base. The right hand protrudes from the long-sleeved robe and rests on the right knee; toes are visible underneath. The left hand, palm upturned, loosely holds a round object. The figure appears to be laughing with eyes narrowed and wears a bronze crown-like housing decorated with small white flowers, each with five petals, which surround a circular clock. The clock face is larger than the head of the figure and is white with black Roman numerals; the hours are framed in bronze to match the decorative hands. The time is set at approximately fifteen minutes before five o'clock.
