This is a Fragment. It is dated 17th century and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is silk and its technique is 8-harness satin (red) patterned by weft floats (yellow), alternate shots of which are complementary (dark and light blue); floats were bound on the front in plain weave (now worn off). It is a part of the Textiles department.
