Waistcoat Fronts (France)

This is a Waistcoat fronts. It is dated 1740–50 and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is silk, metal thread and its technique is supplementary warp floats and discontinuous supplementary wefts (brocading) in plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
