Infant's Cap
This is a Infant's cap. It is dated mid-18th century and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is silk, linen, metallic yarns (metal wrapped around a silk core), flat metallic strips, spangles and its technique is embroidered on 7\1 satin using satin and couching stitches; bobbin lace; plain weave lining.
