Man's Mantle (hinggi) (Indonesia)

This is a Man's mantle (hinggi). It is dated 19th century and we acquired it in 1962. Its medium is cotton and its technique is plain weave with tied resist patterning in warp (ikat). It is a part of the Textiles department.
