Perraje (shawl) (Guatemala)

This is a Perraje (shawl). It is dated 1900–1950 and we acquired it in 1957. Its medium is cotton and its technique is warp resist dyed before weaving (jaspe), warp-faced plain weave with double warps. It is a part of the Textiles department.
