It is inscribed

Inscribed below, "The BATTLE of CULLODEN, near Inverness in SCHOTLAND, 16th APril 1746," followed by a three line description, and below: "Printed for and Sold by Carington Bowles, at his map and Print Warehouse, No. 69 in St. Pauls Church Yard, London." In the upper right corner the number "8."
