Jardinière Jardiniere

This is a Jardiniere. It was manufactured by Mennecy Porcelain Manufactory. It is dated ca. 1750 and we acquired it in 1953. Its medium is soft paste porcelain, vitreous enamel. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was bequest of Georgiana L. McClellan. It is credited Bequest of Georgiana L. McClellan.

Its dimensions are

H x W x D: 12.2 × 19 × 24.9 cm (4 13/16 × 7 1/2 × 9 13/16 in.)

It has the following markings

Underside: [1] "DV", painted in puce overglaze (manufactory mark) [2] "432", printed in black on rectangular label adhered to underside (probably ex-collection label)
