Sleeve Ruffle (Belgium)

This is a Sleeve ruffle. It is dated 1740–55 and we acquired it in 1950. Its medium is linen and its technique is bobbin lace, brussels style. It is a part of the Textiles department.

This object was donated by Richard Cranch Greenleaf (American, 1887–1961). It is credited Gift of Richard C. Greenleaf Esq. in memory of his mother, Adeline Emma Greenleaf.
