Sample (France)
This is a Sample. It was designed by Hector Guimard. It is dated 1909–12 and we acquired it in 1949. Its medium is silk and its technique is embroidered using chain stitch (tambour), wrapping, stem, satin, padded satin, and knotted stitches on chiffon foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
