Teaspoon with Double L Monogram Spoon

This is a spoon. It was made by C. Babbit. It is dated ca. 1815 and we acquired it in 1931. Its medium is silver. It is a part of the Product Design and Decorative Arts department.

This object was donated by Eleanor Garnier Hewitt and Sarah Cooper Hewitt. It is credited Gift of Eleanor and Sarah Hewitt.

Its dimensions are

L x W x D: 14.1 × 2.8 × 2.1 cm (5 9/16 × 1 1/8 × 13/16 in.)

It has the following markings

On reverse of stem: stamped: "CBABBIT"

It is inscribed

On terminal: double L: "LL"
