It is inscribed

Written in ink, at the lower edge, in the 19th century: "Lucio Massari qui a peint à l'Eglise de la morte de Bologne voisine de St. Petronio." In the lower right corner, numbered in ink: "6." Inscribed on verso in black ink: "Lucio Massari f."; "[?] J. Burkart, Desden/10 Sqr (?) 6 Dec 48."
