Letter Case (France)

This is a Letter case. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1925. Its medium is silk and metal-wrapped silk embroidery on silk foundation and its technique is embroidered in stem, satin, running and couching stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
