Purse

This is a Purse. It is dated 18th century and we acquired it in 1924. Its medium is silk, metallic thread, foil strips, coiled gilt wire, spangles and its technique is embroidered in satin and couching stitches on plain weave foundation. It is a part of the Textiles department.
