Lettered in plate, lower center: LE BASSIN DE BACCHUS est dans l’allée de traverse à gauche au bas des pieces de gazon et près le Labyrinte, c’est le 4e Bassin des Bosquets, qui represente l’Automne ce Dieu/ est au milieu du Bassin avec des satires; 4 autres a distance égale l’environnent avec chacun un jet d’eau. Les bords de ce Bassin qui est octogone sont revestus de pampers et de grappes/ de raisins de metal peint sa figure octogone a 10 toises de large. il est du Sr. de Merg.
