Print, Dessein des grandes Grilles posées sur la Place Royale de Nancy en 1755 par ordre de S.M. le Roy de Pologne
This is a Print. It was designed by Jean Lamour and print maker: Dominique Collin. It is dated 1767–68 and we acquired it in 1920. Its medium is engraving and etching on laid paper. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.
A year after Stanislas Lesczynski’s death, Jean Lamour published this commemorative album of his accomplishments under his great patron. The foldout centerpiece recreates one corner of the Place Royale (now Place Stanislas) in Nancy, while other plates illustrate ironwork designs for buildings.
