Drawing, Design for a Silk Damask

This is a Drawing. It is dated 1815–1840 and we acquired it in 1909. Its medium is graphite, brush and white opaque paint (recto design); brush and red, rose, black, and green opaque paint partly applied (verso); white for the frame along the left edge. It is a part of the Drawings, Prints, and Graphic Design department.
