Motorcycle, 1299 Panigale Superleggera, 2017
This is a Motorcycle. It was manufactured by Ducati.
This object is not part of the Cooper Hewitt's permanent collection. It was able to spend time at the museum on loan from Robert Greenberg as part of Bob Greenberg Selects.
The Panigale Superleggera is a striking example of design's ability to bring together technology, materials science, engineering, manufacturing, and beautiful aesthetics. Built of carbon fiber and titanium, it is the most powerful production racing motorcycle ever created, and represents the ultimate expression of the two-cylinder motorcycle.
It is credited Lent by Robert M. Greenberg.
