Sample, Floro textile
This is a Sample. It was designed by Aleksandra Gaca and woven by Textile Museum. It is dated 2015. Its medium is cotton, wool, polyester, mohair and its technique is digitally jacquard woven.
Studio Aleksandra Gaca specializes in the design of innovative, three-dimensional weave structures. Due to their layered construction and sculptural surfaces, they absorb sound more effectively than flat-woven fabrics. Used as wall-mounted acoustic panels or as room dividers, these fabrics participate fully in both the aesthetic and functional programs of the architecture.
Floro is woven to order only. The designer sent this sample, with each color and weave variation numbered at the side, so that she could communicate remotely with the museum’s curators about the final design.
