Purse
This is a Purse. It was designed by Josèph Andrée Chouanard. It is dated 1928. Its medium is tapestry, silver-plated clasp.
The popularity of airplanes and flight in the 1920s could be seen in almost every manner of design, from fashion to cocktail shakers, echoing the aspirations of the age. Josephe-Andrée Chouanard designed a Beauvais tapestry bag for a purse in 1928, featuring a plane in flight similar to the one used by Lindbergh a year earlier.
It is credited Lent by Mobiler national, Paris, Beauvais 1666.
